Askrigg & District Produce Association Show is held annually on the August Bank Holiday weekend in Askrigg Village Hall.
The produce association was set up in the early 1940s as part of the “dig for victory” campaign, and the first cup to be donated was the Shackleton Cup in 1941.
Although based in Askrigg Village Hall, eligibility to exhibit as a ‘local’ is dependant on living within the parishes of Askrigg, Bainbridge and Low Abbotside. Entries from ’Guest’ exhibitors are also welcomed, with restricted access to cups & trophies (see Association Rules)
